What is Rewritify?
Rewritify is a browser-based humanizer: paste in AI-generated text, pick a setting, and you get a rewritten version designed to feel more human and get past AI detectors. The built-in checker also shows how your text scores on several popular detectors, including GPTZero, Copyleaks, ZeroGPT, Sapling, Crossplag, Writer and Originality.ai.
It's aimed at SEO writers repurposing AI copy, students, and agencies producing large amounts of text. It currently has three modes, Fast, Creative and Enhanced, and the company calls its latest release "Humanizer 2.0".
Our test: does Rewritify beat AI detectors?
The HumanizerPRO team tested Rewritify in April 2025 on raw GPT-4 text, using the most aggressive mode available at the time. We then checked both the original and the rewrite with Originality.ai and GPTZero.
Originality.ai
Originality.ai flagged the original as 100% AI and the rewritten text as 90% AI. That's not a significant change, and it's still far too high for any setting where AI use is monitored.
GPTZero
GPTZero, meanwhile, scored both versions 100% AI. Even the most aggressive rewrite didn't change its verdict.
Our take: Rewritify changes the wording, but not enough of the rhythm and predictability that detectors measure. - Three modes. Fast, Creative and Enhanced let you control how much the text changes. In our experience, heavier rewrites also carry more risk of drifting from the original meaning.
- Built-in detection. Checking the output against several detectors in one place is genuinely handy, although it's no substitute for testing with the specific detector your school or client uses.
- Language support. Rewritify claims more than 30 languages. As with most humanizers, quality is best in English.
- No tone control. You can choose how much to rewrite, but not the style: there's no academic, casual or business tone.
